ONE WAY TV | D'LYFA - ORION NEBULA Video

D'lyfa Reilly is back with this stunning visual for Orion Nebula. Not only is this the most relaxing track to ever come out of Manchester it is also one of my all time favourite tracks off one of my all time favourite releases ever. About time it got a video and I'v not been let down. #redIQniverse

whYJay - WHOSWHYJAY? Mixtape

whYJay is one of my favourite spitters from Manchester right now, it seems like every week he's either realising a video, doing a freestyle, jumping on a set or performing live, and now his much anticipated mix-tape WHOSWHYJAY? is finally out now for free download. This is a collection of some real tracks that cover intelligent subjects rather than the usual guns and bitches that seem to be what every MC these days seem to think people want to hear. I think my favourite track on the mix-tape has to either Balance or Myself, whYJay is breath of fresh air in a slightly stale scene right now with his unique flow and hard lyrics he is defiantly the difference between a YouTube Mc and an artist, whichis good since most people seem to have forgotten the difference. Not to mention this mix-tape has features from the likes of Predz, CDot, Sin Seer and Mr Meening, as well as producers such as Dirtklod, Riddle and Katapullt. This is defiantly going to be on regular rotation on my iPod for the next six months. Go get it now!

Nutty - Ft. whYJay, Dorris & Predz (Prod. By Dirtklod)

The Spotworks Recordings gang have been putting out some utter bangers right about now, what with Greef and Sin Seer releasing On Another Beat earlier this month and the North Manny link up North of The Compass last month, and now with Nutty featuring whYjay, Dorris and Predz. The beat is pure madness made simply to skank to while out of your mind! As if that wasn't enough three of Manchester's top Grime Mcs are spraying some of their best lyrics I'v heard in a while. This track is quite honestly my favourite thing since Snoopy and Anoyed put out Devil in My Mind. Not to mention the insane video to accompany it is a who's who of recording artists at Spotworks. Produced by the one and only Dirtklod.

Tap D - Tapped and What

From beginning to end Manchester's Tap D's stunning new release "Tapped and What" is an utter Hip Hop classic with features from the likes of Skanka, Geko, Ideal and more. After my first spin of "Tapped and What" my first impressions were that Tap D could fully push through to the mainstream with a deep flow filled with lyrics so hard they leave your ears feeling like you'v just been ten rounds with Tyson. The first "Hands on Deck" is an explosive way to start an album, considering its bodying fellow Manchester MC and Don't Flop organiser Chronicle.Hands on Deck is swiftly followed by the epic future Hip Hop anthem How You Feel, this track could easily be found in the mainstream with its easy to listen beat yet hood lyrics that can almost never be predicted! The levels are kept high through out "Tapped and What" with stand out tracks like Life In The Ghetto, Big Shit Ft. Skanka, My G Ft. Geko & Skanka and Run The Roads Ft. Skanka, but don't be fooled, each tracks could stand on its own as a single release. If he keeps putting out release like this Tap D is going to be the name on everyone's lips.

D'Lyfa Reilly - Cloud Rhyme

The Manchester lyrical master known as D'Lyfa Reilly is back with his musical masterpiece Cloud Rhyme. This seven track release is a intense journey into the mind of D'Lyfa from the beginning track "Nimbus Proem" featuring fellow Red IQ member C Aye Monk, to "FreeDumb" which is an eye opening listen which opens several truths and also shows off D'Lyfa's lyrical skill whit its quick pace flow and intelligent bars. Of course there's a track for the blazers out there, "Amsterdamnesia" is a clever track playing on all the strains of bud and the many ways you can get lifted. For me the personal highlight of Cloud Rhyme is "Orion Nebula" which is an absolute Hip Hop anthem!
With Cloud Rhyme only costing £1 for a download I highly suggest downloading it, then sit back light a reef and let the Red IQniverse take you to a better place

Frenzy - Viiper Diss / Reply

Jheeze and I though the Viiper track was hard but this is evil as fuck! This is a very interesting clash, a Hip Hop Mc and a Grime Mc both going toe to tow. I think this one is going to hard to judge, so I'm not even going to try but all I'll say is I said Frenzy needed something hard to send back and he achieved just that!

C4 The Polymath - Project MK Ultra E.P

If you don't know who Manchester's C4 The Polymath is then the government must be wining. This ultra-political Hip Hop Mc is a breath of fresh air in a vastly stale world of Brostep and auto-tuned boy bands. Project MK Ultra is his latest offering and with his hard hitting flow and brutally truthful lyrics C4 The Polymath is one of the kings right now in the Manchester scene right now. Having proven he's as versatile as he is clever, by featuring on all manner of tracks including an all star Grime track with the likes of Dorris, LK, Sin-Seer, Xtra and Lady Ice, he has shown his influence stretches all the way across the pond since the mighty Diabolic has done a monster of track with him entitled Politricks Pt.II, this track is worth your money on its own let alone the other tracks. Cold World with Manchester's hardiest younger Inflict is another highlight along with Love and Money with paints a picture most of us can relate to. Rotten Apples Freestyle featuring again Inflict as well as Sin-Seer is by far one of my favourite freestyles I'v heard in a long time! I could listen to Project MK Ultra E.P. over and over and over and over again.

ViiPER-No Talent Needed(Frenzy Diss)

R.I.P. Frenzy, you would be missed but ViiPER erased your name... This is diss is so hard it makes the Hulk look like Jammer.. If you don't know ViiPPER then I suggest you get to know before he bites your head off and spits it into drain. Just like he's done to Frenzy.

MQG - K Dot Grime Freestyle [part2]

Bloody Mary K Dot just murdered a beat in four minuets flat! This Manchester grime heavy weight has been smashing up the scene for a while now but this freestyle puts him at the top of the pile right now. The bars are deeper than a fat bitches stomach after two for one at domino's. Have a listen and get blown away!

Deya - Xtra & Dorris Feat LK Video

About time this anthem from Manchester grime veterans Dorris, Xtra and LK got a video, and let me tell you its fucking sweet as ice-cream. I'v been blasting Deya for months now and I can honestly say the video does it justice . All three Mcs look eerily tapped playing with the camera angles and close up shots. I'v watched it three times in ten minuets now and I suggest you do the same!

Sweeney, Predz, whYJay, C-Dot & Dirtklod - Performing LIVE at the MancKind Launch Night

First off I'd like to thank everyone who came down Dry Live to MancKind as it fully went off! Every artist that performed tore the place down, shout out to Dorris and Sin Seer for putting the event together! If you missed this one make sure you make the next one!
Where can I start with this set? Every man went in harder than Nokia 3310! If your familiar with Dirtklod's Klodcasts then like me you will know these guys do this all day long and most of the night too. Sweeney, Predz, whYjay and C Dot have all earned their status's in the Grime scene as MONSTERS and I think this set just proves this. Oh and once again Driklod is flawless on the decks.

No Mics Needed - Xtra, Sweeney, Jmicc, Magiic, Kdot, Sir Frost & B.O.W.Z Cypher

Jhhheeeeezzzzz this is a madness right here! What a cypher this is, this all star line up includes Xtra, Magiic, K Dot, Sweeney, B.O.W.Z, JMicc and Sir Frost. Every man went 100% in hard, and murdered the beat! It was filmed after the legendary first Manckind, and if you don't know about then where have you been? Its only Manchester's finest Grime event! Get down to the next one.

Elz - Freestyle 'Don't Flop'

So if you didn't Don't Flop's Manchester based battle master Elz is also an amazing Mc on beats as well as in the arena. Running with RRT he's been making quality music for as long as I can remember and I don't think I'v heard one bad track from, ever! If you don't believe me than listen to his freestyle video entitled 'Don't Flop.'

Tence - Cant Be Ignored Promo

Man I love Hip Hop, and Tence is bringing me the good shit all day long! This Manchester artist just raised the levels lyrically. I must say I didn't know about Tence but now he's fully on my radar, 360 degrees. I'v not heard a new artist I'v been happy to learn about for a good few months but Tence is a breath of fresh air, have a listen asap!

Shotty Horroh - Form Introduction (Produced By Blizzard) Music Video

So Shotty is finally back! And let me tell you this track is fucking banging, Shotty Horroh has to be one of the biggest names floating round Manchester right now and if you don't know who he is where have you been? This track is a little taster of his forthcoming E.P. its produced by Blizzard so you know the beats banging!

Sunday, 15 July 2012

Tempa Lyrical - Punchin' Up The Devil (Prod By. Riddle)

Tempa Lyrical is back again with yet another insane release! Punchin' Up The Devil is nice relaxing track you can just sit back, bun a spliff and think about life. Tempa's flow is outstanding and puts him up with one of the best lyricist in Manchester, he is also one of the realist! Every time I hear a track or see a video from him I rate him more, and this is defiantly one of his best, although only just over two minuets long this track has plenty of time to get stuck in the listeners mind!

Illatant - The Re-Session Vol.2 Review

Member of Misfit Music & Mosh Team, Illatant is one of the biggest names in the Manchester Hip Hop scene right now. His flow is so hard it smashes coal into diamonds! This release is a must have, its filled with twenty-two anthems that all bump harder than a woman driver. The album features artists such as Shotty Horroh, Briggzy, J.Strike, Raptor, CitySwift, Notes, Relly Allstar, CJ3, Legal Eyez, Motive, Kamo, Savage & Rick Charles. The stand tracks for me are I'm A Problem featuring Shotty Horroh, Adrenaline Rush, Who's Laughing Now, Fuck Em All Ft. Savage & Legal Eyez and Listen Ft. Kamo but I didn't dislike a single track! I highly recommend this release for any fan of well polished raw Hip Hop! So what you still reading this for? Go download your new favourite release now!!!

KLODCAST - Ft. whYJay, Predz, C-Dot, Creeper, Sin-Seer, Sweeney. JMicc [12.7.2012]

The North Manny boys smashing Klodcast right here!! Each Mc is fucking huge in the scene right now and this set includes some of my favourite MCs. whYjay as usual a beast on the mic with his unique flow, Predz has a flow that reminds me of an old school 04 grimey feeling, C-Dot is quickly becoming one of my favourite MCs in the scene simply because his delivery is perfect every time, I'v always rated Creeper as one of the most underrated MCs in the scene, I don't have to say one word about Sin haha, he speaks for himself! Sweeney & JMicc have been smashing the scene and keep the levels high. DirtKlod is just one of the best DJs/producers in Manchester right now!

Download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?207kea9ubc7x9bw

Dubbul O - Spooky Caravan (Prod. Kydro) Video

Dubbul O is part of the awesome Mothership Connection who have been tearing apart the underground Manchester Hip Hop scene with there static live performances. This tune is fucking insane, the beat is next level and the lyrics are out of this world. The video itself is one of the best I'v seen in a long time. I love the all round trippy nature of it and all of its crazy shots! Also its filmed in my favourite location Antwerp Mansion. Enjoy :)

One Way TV - JNG Freestyle

Yet again JNG just raised his own bar. This Manchester younger has been smashing the scene for a while now and he's been gathering some fucking sick bars! Every time I see a video from him its better than the last!!

C Aye Monk - ODDiNARY E.P.

I would say for about the past seven months every time I'v bummed into C Aye Monk I'v asked him when his E.P. is out. Ever since I first saw Red iQ rip up the stage at Jehst I'v been part of the Red iQniverse and rate each and every member of the crew, but there is something special about the way C Aye Monk spits his mind altering lyrics, his flow and delivery makes him one of my highest ratted MCs in Manchester right now. ODDiNARY is by far my favourite release so far this year, its filled with that old school Hip Hop charm which we all love so much but its blended with a pinch of the future and just a dash of a psychedelic just to make your musical experience that bit tastier. The E.P. kicks off with the anthem that is Discipline 99 Pt 1 which sets the pace for the rest of this masterpiece, B Side is perhaps my favourite track on the E.P. simply because the hook is just too much to handle, I'm literally  skanking around work! Step Inside is also a classic track which lets you look right inside the Monks mind, if you'v been blessed enough to see Red iQ live you will no doubt no this track off by heart just like me!

Grime On Demand - Magiic Freestyle

Magiic is far to under appreciated for my liking, he is defiantly one of the strongest Mcs in Manchester right now! Just listen to this freestyle, he murders the beat with his flawless flow and heavy bars!! But don't let me tell you, give the video a play!

Mothership Connection - Emitape 420

Manchester Hip Hop collective Mothership Connection released this classic piece of music on April 20th, A.K.A. 420 for those who understand the link. Mothership is comprised of Dubbul O, Legion, Cheech the Grim Reefa, Goshin and Cheyenne. Each one of these valuable members combined gives the psychedelia funky hip hop madness that you hear blasting through speakers! It's been a long time since I'v listened to a release back to back seven times but Emitape 420 is an excellent release, I literately cannot stop listening to this. Some of the stand out tracks include In Time featuring Marvs, The Shadows and Funkadelica, but to pick out tracks suggests the others are weaker. Not the case here, every track is utterly banging! Did I mention its a free download? Hell yerr!

Anoyed ft. Donae'o - Stay Schemin' Remix (Prod by. Yardman)

Anoyed is making some classic tracks right about now, with some hard collaborations with Snoopy this latest remix by Yardman featuring Donae'o is a chilled out Hip Hop banger that both the girls and guys will eat up. With a banging beat and yet again some heavy lyrics this is going to be getting a few plays off me!

Explicit - 5 Birds With One Stone (Sending for Shocka, Toxic, Sir Frost, Oli Mannerz & Twisted)

Explicit just became a mass murderer. Five Mcs just Died. Explicit is just too much these days, in fact the hole of East has been holding it down right about now. This is a message, don't fuck with Explicit because he is defiantly a career ender right about now. Fire, just fire....

Beef Report - Tap D sends for Chronicle!

Legendary Manchester Artist Tap D has released a track called Hands On Deck sending for Don't Flop North's Chronicle. This track is so fucking sick. This is going to be a heavy weight baring match between two of Manchester's hardest Mcs. Keep a look out for Chron's reply.

No Mics Needed - Kamali Grime Freestyle

Grime Mc Kamali has some heavy bars, every video I see Kamali in is just a banger. I fully rate Kamali as one of the scene strongest up comer right now. With a flow that just cuts the beat to pieces and combined with lyrics that blow my mind every time I give this a listen, Kamali is one to watch. I have watched this video at least eight times now, no joke.

K Dot - Sir Frost Send

K Dot and Sir Frost were supposed to be having a clash at words are weapons but for whatever reason the clash never happened on the night, so this is K Dot's send video to Frosty. This is such a hard send, K Dot is full of raw bars that really show he's a future heavy wait within the Manchester Grime scene. Keep a look out for him! Say no more.

No Mics Needed - Creeper Freestyle

Its been a big year so far for Manchester Grime Mc Creeper, with videos, E.P.s, and even a clash Creeper is making movements. This little freestyle is packed full of evil bars that yet again stun me! If you don't know Creeper you better get to know. He's one of my favourite Mcs from Manchester right now.

Clash: Fstar TV - Creeper vs Kamali

JHEEEZZEEE this is a big clash! Two heavy Manchester Mcs going bar for bar on Fstar TV hosted by Sin Seer, both Mcs dropped some raw bars. I loved this clash, its now one of my favourites I'v seen so far. Kamali has a huge flow and spat some hype bars that packed a punch. Creeper equally sprayed out some devastating bars that had me rewinding my PC. Take a look and have a vote on Youtube big up both Mcs.

Fstar TV - Sweeney Hudz Send

Its not often I write a post at 10:25 on a Sunday but Sweeney just buried a man. Dead on contact. No question. Fstar has released Sweeney's send video for Hudz in preparation for their forthcoming clash, and let me tell you right now, Sweeney went in! Each bar was more hard that a roundhouse to face from Chuck Norris. I'm just left wondering what can Hudz say back? This is going to be a huge clash!! Keep your eyes pealed for it in the future.

Strickz - My Time

Today I'v got some fresh new Hip Hop straight out of Manchester! This is Strickz first track and what a great way to enter the scene, the beat is perfectly chilled, a great sound with its sweet riff. combined with clever lyrics delivered with perfect flow this is a great listen. I highly recommend giving it a play and I look forward to more of Strickz's music.

Define Roots - Diluted E.P. Promo

Define Roots have released this promo video for their forthcoming E.P. Diluted. The levels in this promo makes me think this E.P. is going to be a big release for 2012, the flow is heavy and the lyrics are heard. Take a look, its well worth it, I look forward to Diluted's release and will defiantly be pushing this E.P. Produced by Force'Of Habit.
Its out 16th May

KTS.TV - Sweeney Freestyle

Another week another Sweeney freestyle, this guy is putting in work right about now! Every video this Manchester Grime Mc does just makes me like him even better, his flow is just too much, unique, fast and clear. The perfect trio. Keep looking out for Sweeney, his time to blow is coming very soon. Trust.

Words Are Weapons - LK vs Prose

The first video from the first Words Are Weapons has been release, LK vs Prose. This clash is completely insane, both Mcs came with incredibly hard bars and gave it there all. With so many reloads you know this is going to be a classic clash that will go down in Manchester Grime history. Both Mcs came with hard bars but at the end of the clash the judges gave it to LK, this must of been a very hard clash to judge since both artists gave it their all. Congratulations to LK, a well deserved win. I hope to see much more of these pair in the future. Big up Words Are Weapons, I know the next clash will be just as heavy!

Wednesday, 14 March 2012

Fstar TV - Jus Micc

Fuck off, what's this? Not another Manchester Grime Mc with huge bars that will rip your face off is it? Jus Micc is yet another Mc blasting his way into the scene with his hard flow and  sick delivery. This video sets the standards for the rest of the people trying to break into the scene. Jus Micc is sick and I recommend keeping a look out for him in the future.

Dorris & Sin Seer - Dub Skets Video

Dorris and Sin Seer are set to have a huge year in 2012. With an E.P. coming out soon and a possible clash you cannot miss these pairs name right now. This track is an utter Dubstep anthem that will rip up any rave in seconds, the bass is absolutely filthy with some sick drops combined with Dorris and Sin's lyrics it makes a great listen that Grime and Dubstep fans will love. I'm also loving the look of the video, makes me want to put my raving shoes on and get down for a good old fashioned SKANK!!!!

Big On Road TV - JNG (Part 2) Freestyle

Every video I watch of JNG he seems to make a hundred steps forward in the right direction. His flow is cold and his delivery is hard, he has all the making to dominate the Manchester Grime scene. With clever lyrics he's slowly developing a well deserved hype! Watch out for more of him in the future.

Fstar TV - K.D & Creeper Freestyle

Fstar has release a great freestyle here with two of Manchester's most underrated Grime Mcs K.D and Creeper. K.D drops some hard bars and Creeper does the same. Keep a look out for these pair as I'm sure they are about to blow up!

Str8 Gz vs Invasion Alert

Whos The Boss has set up a clash between Manchester's Str8 Gz and Birmingham's Invasion Alert, in my opinion its no contest, with Shifty announced to spin Sox and Don Dyno to spin Jaykay it looks all to easy. Don Dyno has released his send for Invasion and it is a killer. In just two minutes and thirty-one seconds Don merks every member of Invasion. This is set to be a big clash, I'm backing Str8 Gz all day long. #fuckinvasion

Misfit Music - Button5 Album

So Manchester Hip Hop super group Misfit Music have released their new album Button5. Misfit Music members include Demz, Illatant, Notes, Kamo, Rick Charles and Briggzy. Button5 is almost a Mafia concept album, which is not a bad thing as it adds a unique 20s gangster feel to it, due to the mafia style in the skits, which I don't heard very often in Hip Hop releases. Misfit Music bring a level of swagger I'v not seen in a record for a long time, tracks like Get Em, Gentlemen's Club and So Crazy are all heavy tracks that will rip up the club. Symbol is an interesting track lyrically as its themed around superheroes, providing a great listen. My favourite track is Its Salford all down to its banging instrumental and cocky lyrics. Overall this album is a great listen and Manchester Hip Hop head will appreciate, throw your Ms in the air!

Beef Report: Shocka's Reply To Magiic

After Magiic's send to Shocka for no showing at their Words Are Weapons clash Shocka has released a reply. Its got some heavy bars which have may have reached the level Magiic set with his send. In typical Shocka style the track switches instrumental showing he has plenty of bars for war and is hungry. Although the diss is aimed mainly at Magiic there is also a bar that calls out Explicit's name as well, so I wonder if Explicit will now jump into the beef? Anyway this is a great reply and I look forward to Magiic's reply!

No Mic Needed TV - CDot Grime Freestyle

Manchester's CDot is utter fire in this video. His bars are dark and his delivery is hard! With a clear North Manchester sound CDot is representing the scene in the best way possible. If you don't know about CDot then all you have to do is watch a few freestyle videos and I guarantee you wont forget him in a hurry.

UV.UK - #CypherSeason - CDot, Sweeney & WhyJay

JHEEZZEEE these guys go in! This is one of the best cyphers I'v heard all year. With each Mc dropping some heavy bars this cypher is defiantly showcasing some of Manchester's hardest Grime artists. CDot, Sweeney and WhyJay are all destroying the scene right now and to ignore them is just stupid. This is the new school of Grime, fuck London, Manchester is where Grime is at right now.

No Mic Needed TV - Sweeney Grime Freestyle

Sweeney is an upcoming Manchester Grime Mc who has been ripping the scene apart with some heavy freestyle videos. His flow and delivery is clear yet keeps an interesting speed combined with bars that are unique and fresh. In my opinion Sweeney is going to rip the scene in to pieces so keep a look out for his E.P. coming out this year.

Stand Up North's 2012 Manchester Mc Hot List

As its a few months into 2012 and several Mcs are starting to announce projects lined up for the year I'v decided to write a 2012 Manchester Mc hot list. I'm expecting big things from Manchester this year but these artists have participially caught my eye recently. So without further to do here we go:

10. At number ten we have grime artists Creeper, he has an E.P. in the works which I'm sure will be a great release. With his previous tracks being well felt in the Grime scene I'm sure Creeper will be well received within the scene.
Like him of Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/Creepermc or follow him @creepermcr

9. Coming in at number nine we have Don't Flop battle rapper/long time grime Mc, Blizzard, with an E.P, Mixtape and album planned you can expect BIG things from this cocky 17 year old. Don't underestimate him because he will collapse your brain with his bars.
Like him on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/blizzarddubs or follow him @iamblizzard

8. Number eight is Hip Hop group Red IQ comprising of D'Lyfa Reilly, Bo'nidle and C Aye Monk. After a great year last year I hope to see a lot more of these guys. They regular play shows, I have never seen a bad set from Red IQ and I try and see them as much as I can. Make sure you see them live so you can fully appreciate them.
Like them on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/BeRedIQ or follow them @REDiQniverse

7. Hip Hop collective Misfit Music makes number seven simply for their outstanding Button5 album. Misfit Music is made up by Briggzy, Illatant, Kamo, Noted, Demz and Rick Charles. I highly recommend Misfit Music and look forward to what all artists have planed for 2012.
You can like Misfit Music on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/Misfitmusic

6. After his clash on Lord Of The Mics I'm sure Hypes will have big plans this year. With a heavy flow and hard hitting lyrics Hypes has confirmed himself as one of Manchester's best Grime Mcs and after LOTMs he will defiantly be remembered in Grime history, what happens next is down to him. I would wish him good luck but Hypes doesn't need luck, he has talent!

You can find more about Hypes on his website here:http://www.officialhypes.com/ or follow him @ManchesterHypes

5. I found it hard to pick between these two so I decided they both deserve number five, so its Grime artists Dorris & Xtra. After Less Gass More Work Dorris and Xtra stepped their game up. With both artists working on solo material 2012 is set to be a huge year. I can honestly say I have never heard a bad track from either of these pair.
You can add Dorris on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003168812498 or follow him @itsdorris
You can add Xtra on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002192927068 or follow him @mcxtra

4. Already having started the year opening for Jedi Mind Tricks The Natural Curriculum are set to have a huge year! The live performances I'v witnessed from these guys have been insane. The Natural Curriculum is made up excellent artists that together make a unique modern blend of Hip Hop. If you haven't heard TNC I highly recommend seeing them live. They have also been confirmed for Croatia's Soundwave festival so get yourself down to sunny Croatia!

Hear more of TNC live. They are so underground you wont find a Twitter or Facebook page, a few tracks are on Youtube but now much.

3. Sin Seer clocks in at number three. Sin Seer is a great Hip Hop artist who has recently branched out into Grime working with such artist as Dorris, Xtra and Lady Killa. I literately cannot wait for what Sin drops this year, with out a doubt it will be an instant classic. Keep your eyes pealed. I am.
Like Sin Seer on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sin-Seer/58347104840 or follow him @Sin_Seer

2. The legendary Grime Mc Shifty made a relatively unnoticed return into the scene last year, with a few videos he crept back in gracefully. So far he's made a few more videos with Str8Gz members that have gone down a storm in the scene. I hope Shifty regains the hype he previously had before his car accident.
You can like Shifty on Facebook here:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shifty/30514718585 or follow him @ShiftyM21

1. I think only one artist deserves the number one spot, and that belongs to Meany. With the long awaited Henrys Spine finally confirmed for release the whole of Manchester better be ready, Meany's hard hitting street poetry is sure to mean Henrys Spine will be a classic release that will undoubtedly leave all completion behind.

Traumatic - 100 Fire Bars (Part 2)

Manchester Grime Mc Traumatic has released his 100 Fire Bars part 2 and fire isn't even the word! Traumatic brings a heavy flow with deep lyrics that has a harder punch that right hook from Bruce Lee, if you don't know Traumatic I'v got a feeling he will be blowing the Manchester scene away soon.. Keep your eyes pealed!

Beef Report: Shocka vs Magiic

So Rhyme Club put on a Grime clash event called Words Are Weapons on the 25th February, one of the clashes feature was Shocka vs Magiic both from Manchester. On the night Magiic turned up and Shocka didn't meaning Magiic was instantly a winner, Magiic never got to spit his bars so he recorded this track to get his bars out there. In my opinion Magiic destroyed Shocka here! If Shocka even replies he better bring his A game on this one.

Flame - Oh No Video

Manchester Hip Hop Mc Flame has released an utter banger right here! I'm feeling Flame's flow and delivery, it hits hard and heavy. With interesting lyrics Oh No! is completed by the sick visuals within the video. I'm expecting big things from Flame and defiantly have him on my 2012 watch list.

Snoopy & Anoyed - Devil In My Mind (Remix) Video

Manchester Mcs Snoopy and Anoyed have teamed up to release this classic track. Produced by Yardman this remix is absolute FIRE, with Snoopy providing a catchy hook backed up by Anoyed's hard hitting street lyrics creating one of the best releases I'v heard in 2012. If you don't like this track you don't like Hip Hop. I hope to hear much of these pair in the future.

Briggzy - Toast To Rap Ft. Illatant Video

Briggzy brings us his latest video, Toast To Rap featuring fellow Misfit Music member Illatant, taken of his epic Gingerfication album this is the second track to be put onto video. The video is a sort of homage to Briggzy's music career so far in Hip Hop, featuring clips from his gig with Wu-Tang, images of his childhood and other memorable highlights for Briggzy. The video goes perfectly with track, which is about Briggzy's struggle. Toast To Rap is a great track that most fans will find a great listen, it also happens to be one of my favourite tracks to come out of the U.K. in a while. I'll toast to that.

Pockets Showcase

So Manchester artist recently created the artwork for Stand Up North so I thought I'd do a short showcase of his artwork. Pockets has a great unique style which has lead him to work with Hypes and Meany. Thanks once again to Pockets for the great job on the artwork.

Dayse & Aver - EP0001

Every so often I hear a release that I know will be considered a classic, EP0001 falls into that category. Dayse and Aver are a progressive Hip Hop group based around Manchester, they describe themselves as "the left wing splinter group of The Natural Curriculum." Even though its only twenty-six minutes long it was long enough to blow me away completely with its eerie samples and odd unique instrumentals combined with furious culturally & politically awake lyrical content. The man behind the beats, Aver, must be a musical genius. The beat structure is so unique every time I listen to the E.P. I hear something new which keeps the music consistently fresh and interesting. Dayse has an incredible flow and delivery that makes the tracks a level above other artists within the scene at the moment. EP0001 in my opinion needs to be listened in a full sitting for full effect, although each track is powerful on its own. For me the highlights include the first track, Hell Is A City, which sums up the feel of the entire E.P. with its perfect sample and odd backing track filled with strange screeches and bleeps, The Perfection Of Home, which provides a great sound track while going about your day to day activity's, No Exit, which is great tale of to rebels with undertones of brotherhood and unity and finally the E.P.'s masterpiece Human Zoo which I never tyre of hearing. Dayse & Aver are going to change the face of music forever. EP0001 is available for free download from their web page, I highly recommend downloading it, it could just be your new favourite Hip Hop E.P.

10/10

Appeal - Words Are Weapons (Double Deuce Reply)

So Appeal has released his reply to Double Deuce, a quick 16 bars to set the levels. Appeal goes in hard with a nice bar about rapeing Deuce's ex and a clever lyric about the top speed of a Volvo. What will be outcome of the clash, only way to find out is make sure you get down to Words Are Weapons on the 25th.

Kritikal - Words Are Weapons (Barzie Reply)

So Kritikal came back with the first reply to Barzie, and let me say, he comes in with one some of the strongest 16 bars I'v heard in a while. With a clear delivery each lyric hits HARD! This is going to make a great clash between to heavy Mcs, I don't know about you but I'm look forward to it!

Double Deuce - Words Are Weapons (Appeal Send)

Next up is the Double Deuce Appeal send video, Double Deuce is a heavy Mc from York. In his send video he set the levels, and boy are they high. With hard hitting lyrics and a heavy style this clash should be a good one, a could even say a potential highlight.

Barzie - Words Are Weapons (Kritikal Send)

Sheffield's Barzie goes in hard with this one, with the video being three minuets of hard hitting bars. Barzie has a heavy flow combined with clever lyrics that keep the listener on their toes. Kritikal needs to come prepared to this clash as I'm expecting big things from Barzie.

K Dot - Words Are Weapons (Frosty Boi Send)

So the send videos are coming in thick and fast, so I'v decided to do a quick little look at them. First up is K Dot's send for Frosty Boi, K Dot goes in hard! His lyrics are clever and his delivery is clear, Frosty Boi is going to need some heavy bars to win this clash.

Shakz - No Mic Needed Grime Freestyle Video

Shakz is a fifteen year old Grime Mc from Manchester, I don't know what the government is pumping into the water around Manchester but right now the youngers seem to be dominating the scene. Very rarely do I find Grime with a violent style appealing, normally the bars are simplistic and tend to be similar to many other MCs bars, but in this case the exact opposite is true. Shakz is a refreshing sound, he has a great flow and delivery, his lyrics seem to be much harder and relevant than your average road Mc. I hope to hear much more of Shakz in the future, expect big things from him.

You can follow him @ShakzMusic

KTS TV - Tempa Lyrical Freestyle Video

Manchester Hip Hop Mc Tempa Lyrical comes at use with a fresh new freestyle. Once again he comes with a unique style and a decent clear delivery. The lyrics to the freestyle are clever, political and meaningful. Tempa is set for big things this year and is definitely a heavy Mc.
